Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want booking with us to feel safe. This policy explains, in plain English, when you get your money back. It forms part of our [Terms of Service]. Nothing here reduces your statutory rights as a UK consumer.

The quick summary
  • Cancel a trial lesson 12+ hours before → full £10 refund (or free reschedule).
  • Cancel a trial less than 12 hours before or miss it → no refund, but one free reschedule.
  • Monthly Package (£80): cancel before the first lesson → full refund; cancel mid-month → refund for whole unused lessons, minus lessons already delivered.
  • We cancel a lesson and you can't make the alternative → lesson credited or refunded, your choice.
  • Refunds go back to the card you paid with, normally within 5–10 working days.

1. Trial lessons (£10)
Cancelling in advance. Cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the lesson using the link in your confirmation email, or by emailing info@npdrawing.com. Cancellation = full refund.
Late cancellation or no-show. If you cancel less than 24 hours before, or your child does not join the lesson, the £10 is not refundable — the place was held in a group of only 8 and could not be resold. As a goodwill gesture, we will offer one free reschedule to another available slot.
Something urgent happened? Children get ill. If your child could not attend for a serious reason, email us — we are parents too, and we will usually find a solution.

2. Monthly Packages (£80 per month)
Before the first lesson of the package: cancel any time for a full refund.
During the month: you may cancel by email at any time. We will refund the value of whole unused lessons (£80 ÷ [4] = £[20] per lesson), counting any lesson missed without 24 hours' notice as used. We do not charge cancellation fees.
Missed lessons:
  • Told us 24+ hours before → free make-up lesson in another suitable group within 4 weeks; the lesson is not lost.
  • No notice / less than 24 hours → the lesson counts as used. One exception per package is allowed for sudden illness — just tell us as soon as you can.

Freezing. Illness, holidays, exams — email us and we will pause your package and extend it by the paused period, free of charge.
Expiry. Lessons not used by the end of the package month (as extended by freezes and make-up windows) expire. We will remind you before that happens.

3. Your 14-day legal cooling-off right
In addition to everything above, UK law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) gives you 14 days from purchase to cancel a distance contract without any reason:
  • Nothing delivered yet → full refund.
  • Some lessons already delivered (because you asked us to start early) → refund minus a proportionate amount for what was delivered.
  • Service fully performed within the 14 days at your request (e.g. the trial lesson already took place) → the cooling-off right for that purchase has been used up.
To use this right, email info@npdrawing.com within 14 days of payment.

4. When we owe you a lesson or a refund
We will re-run, credit, or refund a lesson (your choice) if:
  • we cancel it and you cannot attend the replacement slot;
  • the teacher is absent and no suitable substitute is provided;
  • the lesson fails because of a technical problem on our side;
  • we permanently close your child's group and no comparable group suits you (pro-rata refund of all unused lessons);
  • we change the group's schedule and the new time does not work for you (refund of unused lessons).
If a lesson fails because of a problem on your side (your device or internet), it is treated as a missed lesson — but tell us, and we will try to help or offer a make-up where we reasonably can.

5. Faulty services — your statutory rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, our services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If they are not, you may ask us to re-perform the service or, where that is not possible, to reduce the price (which can mean a partial or full refund). These rights are additional to this policy and are not limited by it.

6. How refunds are paid
  • Always to the original payment card, via Stripe.
  • Processed by us within 14 days of agreeing the refund — in practice usually within 2 working days. Banks may take a further 5–10 working days to show the money.
  • We never ask for your card number by email. Be wary of anyone who does.

7. Chargebacks
If you believe a payment is wrong, contact us first at info@npdrawing.com — genuine mistakes are refunded quickly, without paperwork. If a chargeback is raised without contacting us, we may suspend lessons while your bank investigates, and we will provide the bank with our booking and attendance records.

8. How to cancel or request a refund
Email info@npdrawing.com from the address you booked with, telling us:
  • the child's first name and group;
  • what you want to cancel;
  • (optionally) the reason — it helps us improve.

We confirm every cancellation and refund by email. If you have not received a refund within 10 working days of our confirmation, contact us and we will trace it with Stripe.
